I define mindfulness as the practice and actions/inactions of intentional awareness. This manner of being allows for holistic existence and the experience of core truths.
I use mindfulness in my work to gain perspective, to focus, and to enhance and preserve creativity.
Mindfulness has changed the conversations I have internally and with others. This way of managing and observing thoughts and communication has broadened my understanding of empathy, tolerance, and compassion.
Practicing and teaching mindfulness can transform society by elevating conversations to a more emotionally-intelligent level, reducing friction and conflict during times of stress, bringing true joy and contentment with each experience, and, by practicing mindfulness, you can create your own safe environment even in the midst of chaos.
Trying to predict the future seems the antithesis of mindfulness. ;^) I hope to see my future through "mindfulness-colored" glasses!
