Dara James
Dr. Dara L. James holds a position as Adjunct Faculty in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation with a primary appointment as a Behavior Scientist in Health and Wellness Solutions at Johnson & Johnson. Dr. James has been involved with the Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience since its inception and has worked alongside her esteemed colleagues to develop programs and resources for university students and the greater community. She was a Co-Founder and previous Director of the Mindful Writing Groups and currently is Co-Investigator for the Mindfulness 4 Musicians research study at ASU. Dr. James has background and expertise in mindfulness, mindful eating, meditative movement and self-compassion and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in these contemplative fields. Professionally and personally, Dr. James believes in incorporating the practices of mindfulness, compassion and resilience into daily life to improve health and well-being for all.
